While we'd hate to see you go, you can close your FolioHD account at any time on the Account page after you login. Just look for the "Suspend Account" link.
Please note: If you purchased a domain name through FolioHD, we will conintue to renew it, so be sure to send us a message if you'd like to prevent your domain name from renewing in the future.
If you're not satisfied with FolioHD, please get in touch with us; we'd love to hear what you're experiencing and see if we can help you through it. (We won't ever force you to stick with us if something isn't working out for you.)
If you purchased a domain name through FolioHD and want to use it with another service, no problem. We'll gladly assist you in moving the domain name. We'll just need to make sure your domain name is paid up with us first, before we can release it.
If you don't recognize FolioHD on your credit card statement as something you purchased, please check with any close family who may have had access to your card. We've seen many cases of children using a parent's credit card to create their online portfolio. If you still can't figure it out, let us know and we'll be happy to look up why your card is getting charged.
If we aren't able to charge your card for a subscription, we will continue trying periodically to get your account up-to-date. When your card's details are updated (either manually or through automated methods), if you have an existing subscription that is past-due, we will charge your card for one previous month, as well as the upcoming month to get you squared away going forward.
For example, if we aren't able to charge your card for 3 months and your monthly subscription hasn't already been automatically cancelled, once you update your card, you will only be charged for one previous month. Consider any other months on us.
If you have a past-due domain name, we will also charge your card for the domain so it doesn't automatically cancel.
As a reminder, FolioHD plans automatically renew on a monthly or annual basis, depending on which plan you selected at signup. To review when your next charge will take place, visit the Account page after signing in.
We don't automatically send out receipts via email. However, if you need one for tax or expensing purposes, get in touch and we can retroactively email past invoices.
We generally have a "no refunds" policy after monthly or annual charges are processed, or after domain names are purchased or renewed. This is due to a variety of reasons, but sometimes because certain transactions require us to transact with a third-party and we aren't able to get refunds from those services. Occasionally, we are able to make an exception if a charge meets certain criteria. If you have an issue with a charge after it takes place, please feel free to reach out and we'll be happy to see what we can do.
